ASU West campus senior II students recently received an award for their fundraising efforts for the Arizona Lost Boys Center, a center for Sudanese refugees, in central Phoenix.
The group of 20 students raised money for their selected capstone project by selling wristbands and baked goods. The $2,440 raised was matched by a grant from Agape Foundation for a total of $4,880. The money raised will go toward the $125,000 required to keep the Center open.

The Arizona Lost Boys Center provides a place where the young men receive mentoring, access to computers, assistance in obtaining housing and jobs, learn life skills, as well as the opportunity to visit with other Sudanese refugees. Most of the 'boys' are now in their early twenties and some even attend Arizona State University.
