Undergraduate Transfer Students (BSN & RN-BSN)
Student Resources

The professional academic advisors in the College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation will evaluate transfer transcripts to determine the applicability of courses for the ASU Nursing program. Students not yet admitted to ASU must provide transcripts from each of the colleges/universities attended.

transcript requests and evaluation

Call the Office of the Registrar at the colleges/universities attended and request that an unofficial copy of your transcript be sent to you. Once you have received your transcripts, send them by mail or facsimile to the appropriate program office in the ASU College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation. After sending your transcripts, please call the appropriate academic program office to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor.  Your appointment will be scheduled for approximately 1-2 weeks after your call.  During your appointment, we will review the results of your transcript evaluation and assist you in planning your next steps. Phone advising appointments may be arranged for students living out of state.

While the university accepts transfer credit from accredited institutions, some or all transfer credit may not be applicable to a BSN degree. Students completing course work at a community college or other university should consult an ASU College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation academic advisor who will evaluate courses, determine course applicability, and help plan an appropriate sequence of remaining prerequisite courses.

If you are a transfer student, the College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation offers these additional services:

  • Transcript evaluation (official if admitted; unofficial if not yet admitted)
  • Pre-admission advising
  • Assistance in selecting applicable university college courses
