The BSN degree at ASU is 120-121 credit hours. It is divided into two parts: students taking critical tracking courses and students who advance to the Upper Division Nursing program.

critical tracking courses:

There are 17 critical tracking courses (56 credit hours) that can be completed either at ASU, at the Maricopa Community College District, or transferred in and evaluated by the Student Services Office.

The 17 courses (56 credit hours) can be completed in four semesters of full-time study. One or more summer sessions may be required depending upon individual student situations. Summer Session tuition is in addition to Fall/Spring tuition.

upper division nursing program:

The Upper Division Nursing program consists of a 4-semester/term sequence of courses that build on the critical tracking courses. Advancement to the Upper Division Nursing program is competitive and requires submission of additional materials. Not all students will secure a space in the Upper Division Nursing program.
