Research and Scholarship

Students receive personal mentorship through all phases of developing their research with experienced, nationally recognized faculty advisors. Faculty members are National Institute of Health reviewers and are happy to offer their comments and guidance as students write their first national-level grants. Supporting student achievement through guided, organized instruction in grant preparation is a hallmark of the program.

The Office for Research and Scholarship at the College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation promotes the success of faculty researchers and scholars who are committed to the process of discovery. The Office for Research and Scholarship seeks to advance the mission of the College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation to optimize health in a culturally diverse, global community. Services are designed to enhance the research capacity of the college by supporting all aspects of the development, conduct, and dissemination of research.

The Office for Research and Scholarship provides assistance to PhD students with preparation of the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) grant applications. Students receive one-on-one consultation with a grant specialist who guides them through the electronic and paper application process.
