Child Mental Health Intervention Specialist - Admissions

Admission Requirements:
  • Current active healthcare licensure in the applicant’s state as needed to complete the clinical requirements for the certificate (e.g. RN, NP, PA, MD)
  • Master’s prepared pediatric or family nurse practitioner, pediatric clinical nurse specialist, or health-related professional (e.g. social worker, physician’s assistant, physician) with a bachelor’s or master’s degree or medical degree; or
  • Current student in a master of science degree program or doctor of nursing practice pediatric, psychiatric, or family nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist program.
  • Proof of submission of application for a fingerprint clearance card if student secures a space in the upper division Nursing major. Dates and location for fingerprinting will be provided by the Student Services Office.
  • International applicants must also meet the additional requirements for international students of the Graduate College.
Materials Required for Application Process:

1. Apply to the Graduate College – In the “Degree/Certificate Section,” please select “Child and Adolescent Mental Health” found in the category “Health Sciences and Allied Fields.”

2. Send official transcripts from all universities attended to the
Graduate College at the following address:

3. Three professional letters of recommendation (MS Word or PDF) – please send U.S. mail to attention Sue Callahan
