The Escalante Health Center provides wellness programs for older adults, primary care services for uninsured and underinsured individuals, children and their families of Tempe, health promotion services for pregnant women who are at risk for poor birth outcomes and their families, in addition to community outreach at health fairs and schools. Nurses at the Escalante Health Center work with social service agencies as well as students and faculty from nutrition, social work, exercise science and music therapy departments at ASU to develop wellness programs, and to give students a interdisciplinary learning experience to health promotion in the community. The Center integrates community health services with faculty practice, education, and research.
The Escalante Health Center is a partnership between ASU College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation, Tempe Community Action Agency and Tempe St. Luke's Hospital.
