Twenty senior nursing students at Arizona State University West held a health fair for their Community Health Project on Saturday at Alkire Park, 1625 W. Papago St.
They administered blood-pressure exams and had educational booths promoting topics including the role of exercise in combating obesity, how nutrition impacts diabetes and why hydration and sunscreen is important in our climate. A chiropractor did scoliosis screening. For the kids, there were face-painting booths and a snow cone machine.
