We are an inclusive world-class enterprise of discovery that prepares innovative, evidence-based healthcare providers, educators, leaders and researchers to optimize health in a culturally diverse global community.
about the College
From a program that graduated only six people in 1960, the College of Nursing & Health Innovation has grown to include more than 8,000 graduates. The college has evolved from a small baccalaureate program to the largest supplier of nurses in Arizona with Bachelor of Science and advanced practice nurses and is the only university offering an on-campus Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing & Health Innovation (PhD) degree. The new Doctor of Nursing Practice degree is being offered in an online hybrid format designed for students living or working at a distance. In addition, the college is offering a Master of Healthcare Innovation degree, the first of its kind in the nation.
faculty
The faculty in the College of Nursing & Health Innovation are committed to preparing nurses for compassionate and competent nursing practice, leadership in service to the community and the nursing profession, and who value lifelong personal growth. Students learn from experts in pediatrics, women's health, medical/surgical, adult health, psychiatric/mental health and community health nursing. The college's outstanding faculty has received numerous awards in teaching, service, and research, as well as recognition at the state and national levels of the profession.
nurse-managed health centers
The college manages five nonprofit Nurse-Managed Health Centers: ASU Health Center at the Downtown Phoenix Campus, Breaking the Cycle Community Health Care, Community Health Services Clinic, Escalante Health Center and North Tempe Health Center. These nationally recognized centers give nurses the opportunity to move to the forefront of healthcare, while providing services to the public of all ages and incomes, and educating ASU’s nursing students in the process.
academy for continuing education
The college's Academy for Continuing Education facilitates lifelong learning by providing opportunities for registered nurses (RNs) to enhance and expand their nursing practice to meet the healthcare needs of various populations and to further their own professional development.
