EBP stories - SHARE YOUR STORY
The purpose of posting your EBP story is to reflect on your individual practice and how you have made a difference in a patient's/family's healthcare experience while implementing EBP. Please post your story with any introduction you would like. See the Featured EBP Story. You may want to consider including:
- the case scenario (what prompted you to use evidence);
- the clinical issue (what issue did you attempt to address);
- the PICOT question (what question did you attempt to answer);
- your evidence journey (how you engaged the evidence - could be how you
searched for, found, synthesized the evidence or how someone brought the
evidence to you); - implementation of evidence (what you did with the evidence);
- the outcome (what difference did it make to use the evidence and how
do you think things would have been different if you had not); - reflection (a: evaluation of your contribution to the EBP process [i.e. clinician's expertise]; b: evaluation of the contribution of patient's preferences and values)
