Funding

Arizona State University College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation proudly announces that the American Indian Students United in Nursing Program (ASUN) has been awarded continued funding for five additional years (August 1, 2003 to July 31, 2008).

ASUN has accounted for 19% of all degrees awarded to American Indian students at ASU since 1990.

Tutoring

ASUN provides tutoring services for ASUN students absolutely free! Download the Tutor Request Form (MS Word of PDF); they are also located in the ASUN office.

Talking Circles

Held Monthly. Facilitated by Rachel Carroll (Northern Cheyenne)

Elder Nurse Volunteer Program

Held twice monthly. Retired American Indian nurses volunteer to mentor our students by visiting the ASUN office two times a month.

Native American Nurses Association (NANA)

NANA encourages American Indian nursing students’ involvement by attending the NANA monthly meetings and various planned events and activities. ASUN works collaboratively with NANA to enhance the nursing student experience and to serve as mentors for the ASUN students.
